Meconopsis primulina

Photographer : Margaret Thorne

Taxonomy

A species in its own section with M. lyrata and M. florindae. Bhutan and adjacent Tibet. It is a scarce and very small species with flowers on long basal stems. If you forgive the size, it is a beautiful plant.

Cultivation

Ludlow in 1949 collected a lot of seed but little germinated and nothing grew on. Likely to be difficult.
