Meconopsis napaulensis - Photos In The Garden

Winter rosettes - a major attraction.
M. superba left slow growing compared to M. napaulensis ( Hort ). Pricked on early May ready to pot on Mid June.
Potted on mid June for August planting.
A winter leaf rosette in Cumbria. These plants are identical to those in the webmaster's garden- in dry east coast Fife - except they are twice the size entering their second winter! A humid climate and good growing conditions produce this superb growth. This plant is a metre across with Annabelle (granddaughter) for scale. These easily grown plants make a brilliant show in a winter garden(and seed is readily available and germinates easily) and were once used as bedding plants iin Glasgow.
