Meconopsis gracilepes - Photos In The Wild

Photographed at Nyalam, Tibet. All these wild images show clear similarity to M. dhwojii, it need clarifying whether these two species can be clearly separated throughout their range. Margaret Thorne. This leaf shows purple pigment at the base of the spines on the leaf - this is a characteristic normally considered to define M. dhwojii which is oherwise very similar in stature, leaf shape and flower colour to M. gracilipes. Margaret Thorne.
More typical leaf with separate lobes and plain green without purple pigmentation, cupped pale cream flowers. Margaret Thorne.
