News - M. lyrata

Another group that has just been split up including several new species is the M. lyrata group. This is little known in cultivation. I shall add these as soon as I get time under M. lyrata.

This site is designed to help identify the different species of Meconopsis using photographs.

Wherever possible, the photographs will be taken in the wild.

For a number of species there is great variation and defining the limits is not easy.

It is hoped that in the future people visiting these remote areas will concentrate on taking photographs of the critical features and a wide range of plants, not just the prettiest.
